Recipe: Winter Fruit Gratin

Dessert doesn’t all the time should be cake, cookies or ice cream. Serve this heat baked fruit dish on a cold night because the gratifying, candy finish to a meal.

Elements

  • Refrigerated butter cooking spray (for vegan possibility, use a canola oil spray)
  • 2 Bartlett pears, peeled and minimize into bite-sized items (about 2 cups)
  • 2 Gala apples, peeled and minimize into bite-sized items (about 2 cups)
  • 1 cup frozen cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar mix
  • three tablespoons Grand Marnier or different orange liquor

For the topping:

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar mix
  • 2 tablespoons entire wheat flour
  • ¼ teaspoon floor cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons trans-fat loose margarine, minimize into small items

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Calmly coat an Eight-inch casserole with cooking spray.
  2. Toss the pears, apples and frozen cranberries with the sugar mix and Grand Marnier within the ready
    casserole.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the oats, almonds, sugar mix, flour and cinnamon. Together with your arms, paintings within the
    margarine to make a crumbly topping.
  4. Sprinkle over the fruit and bake for 18 to 20 mins, till the highest is browned and the fruit effervescent.
    Let cool for five mins prior to serving in dessert bowls.
